We are currently accepting EOI’s for our October 2025 purebred Highland steers. All these steers are polled (no horns).
These boys will only be ready to go only once they are good citizens. They will be weaned, fully halter trained and able to be brushed in the paddock. We predict this will be around June 2026.
We spend as much time with our steers as we do our stud cattle. These boys all have sound temperaments and must be quiet and safe to handle. We run Highland cow tours through our Airbnb so all our animals are used to strangers and are super friendly. Steers are the ideal lawnmowers and have that classic Highland look – put them on your front lawn to make the neighbours jealous or use them for decorating your Airbnb or agritourism business.
Available:
Kevin (11303)
We shouldn’t have favourites. But we do, and that’s kevin. He’s full of character, his eyes light up when he sees you across the paddock, and he’s always the first to amble over and get in line for a brush.
Patrick (11304)
Patrick is a super chill dude. He loves a brush or scratch and is ready to be someone’s best friend.
Fraser (11306)
The sweetest little steer. He’s very quiet and is will always approach very politely to ask for a brush.
Duncan (11305)
A steer with an outstanding pedigree, if that’s your thing. He’ll mature into the most quintessential looking Highland, but he also enjoys attention and a scratch.
Bill (11307)
Miniature Highland! Well not really. Bill’s mother had mastitis, and even with supplementary bottle feeding and grain, he’s still pint sized. We’re not sure what size he’ll mature, but we expect it to be smaller than ‘normal’. Bill is very sweet and because of his rough start, has spent lots of time around humans. He loves his food, a brush and a scratch.
