Phil is a polled steer from our autumn 2025 calf drop. He has a yellow coat but also shows some brindling around his nose.
He is sired by the UK sire Philip of Strathallan, who was crowned Grand Champion Highland at the Royal Show in 1985 & 1986. Young Phil’s dam is Jane of Avoch, who always instils plenty of personality in her calves, and this little guy is no exception.
Phil is already a certified stick (show cane) addict, if he spots you carrying one, he’ll follow you around the paddock with his chin in the air begging for a scratch. And if you’re busy with someone else, he’ll sidle in next to them to steal their scratches too.
We are currently accepting EOI. He will be available in Novemeber 2025 once he is weaned, halter trained and quiet to brush and handle. We don’t think this will take very long with him.
