Bear is the first bull calf we’ve registered under our fold, and we believe there are a lot of good things about this young lad. He has exceptional locomotion, good sturdy legs, a strong topline and perfect front end. He has incredible depth of body, as well as depth of chest across the front, and ideal hip structure, with his dam’s pelvic length. He also has the temperament we want to see in a young bull: he is confident, quiet and friendly. To top this all off, he has loads of hair and a beautiful Highland head.

Bear entered the show ring for the first time at the 2025 AHCS National Show, coming away with Reserve Champion Junior Bull. He has gone on to win Grand Champion Bull at the 2025 Royal Melbourne Show and the 2026 WA Highland Breeders Group State Show.

Bear is a son of our previous stock bull, out of a cow that is just as good and consistently produces excellent, stylish females (who themselves have started to produce excellent offspring, too). We know this maternal line well (we’ve kept all of them so far!). His dam has an excellent udder for her age and number of calves—one of the best in our fold—is fertile and calves easily every time.
