We’ve been taking notice of this young man since he was a calf – we were impressed by his quiet and confident demeanor – qualities that we are looking for in our animals.

Uilleam is (almost) the spitting image of his sire, Dawson Arrow of MacAnLeister, who was Supreme Exhibit at the 2023 AHCS National Highland Show. He has the thickness, depth and volume we like to see in a bull, along with a strong top line and broad Highland head. He has some length, great mobility and a smooth flowing stride.

Because of his low birthweight, we are hoping he will be a good match for the heifers we are retaining, and we look forward to seeing him put his stamp on his Cambus Glen progeny in the future. Uillie’s first calves are due to drop at the end of October 2024.

the attribute you want in beef cattle, as a bull producer and the first thing people ask about is temperament. This bull is as quiet as you like. When he walks around the ring he is very docile and laid back. He’s never met me before but we’re mates already. That’s really important as a lot of these cattle are going to people who aren’t experienced as breeders so docility and temperament is paramount
