A classy Highland female, Cailleach (approximate pronunciation Kal yaχ, meaning old woman) has a classic Highland head, good depth and considerable width through her shoulders to her hips. Her legs are well positioned and she stands wide and square. She is soft bodied and stylish, with ample fur.
She had her showing debut at the 2022 Australian Highland Cattle Society National Show and achieved a respectable 2nd in Class 15a – Cow or Heifer 24-30mo. She has plenty of personality and has sadly been retired from the show team since she decided it’s not the life for her. However, she is quiet in the paddock and stands politely for a brush.
Cailleach is currently in calf to Lord Montagu of Old Greenlaw.
