We’re very excited to introduce our new stock bull, Bothy Buidhe of Bairnsley (ET). We picked Bothy because we felt he met our particular breeding goals and also for his unique pedigree and quality.
His sire Ruaridh 1st of Ubhaidh is a complete and stylish bull, full of power, correctness, length, beef and breed character. He was Champion at the Royal Highland Show in 2014, the Scottish Farmer’s Highland Cattle Champion of the Decade and Reserve Interbreed Beef Bull of the Decade (an impressive feat for a Highland).
His dam, Nala Calico of Ballybrook, is a beautiful, feminine cow, with good feet and a great udder, and everything we’re looking to have out in our paddocks.
Bothy is the only bull currently registered in Australia sired by Ruaridh 1st of Ubhaidh, so he offers us a unique outcross pedigree for our cows.
