Bellatrix (aka Blackie) was born prematurely and was a tiny calf with a huge spirit. We delayed registering her to see how she would develop, and she has grown  into a really nice heifer. She’s short, wide and clean-fronted and although she will probably be slightly smaller than her genetic potential, she not a “mini” Highland.  There’s lots to like about her – she has a great pedigree and is a very pretty heifer, with plenty of Highland character – a lovely head and long, thick soft coat. She has good feet, which she inherited from her dam, who at 18 years old looks like she just stepped off the trimming table despite never having had her feet trimmed. She is very friendly in the paddock and will always come for a brush or a scratch. She’s halter trained and can lead and tie up, but is not keen on being caught. Tested nt821 free and BVD non-PI.
